Systematic Desensitisation Therapy

One type of behavioural treatment called systematic desensitisation therapy is used to treat phobias, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and a fear of objects like spiders or snakes. The purpose of this therapy is to alter your response to things, people, or circumstances that make you feel anxious or afraid. You’ll pick some coping mechanisms to keep you at ease and composed.

There are three basic steps in the systemic desensitisation therapy. You will first discover how to ease your tense muscles. The next step is to compile a list of your anxieties and order them according to their level of intensity. Lastly, in order to become increasingly at ease with your fear, you will gradually expose yourself to it. ‌
